Marigold presents a strong night of DIY-based indie rock spanning the territories of country, folk, psychedelia, and punk. Featuring some of Western MA’s most interesting upcoming bands, Rhode Island indie crooner Convinced Friend, and also PIZZA provided by Valley culinary superstars Vegan Pizza Land, this is sure to be one for the books.

GOLD DUST (psychedelic, folk rock), WMa: Gold Dust started four years ago as a solitary solo endeavor – a way for Western Massachusetts musician Stephen Pierce to branch out from his roots in DIY punk and explore a longtime fascination with traditional folk and psychedelia. Joining Pierce are Ally Einbinder (guitar, formerly of Potty Mouth), Adam Reid (drums, of Nanny), and Sean Greene (bass, of The Van Pelt). As a four-piece, Gold Dust springs out of the cloistered interior and transforms into a dynamic force. In the Shade of the Living Light embraces you with captivating guitar squalls and warm vocal harmonies, steady rhythms, and an innovative blend of influences, from traditional folk to West Coast psych, alternative punk, jangle-rock, and ‘90s college rock.

SILVIE’S OKAY (alt-country, indie), WMa: Silvie’s Okay is the gaze-y country project of Vince Thompson. Raised on a cattle ranch in the High Desert before moving to Boston and eventually Western Massachusetts, Silvie’s Okay is a return to his roots of blasting pop country through the AM radio of a tractor. Since birthing the project in 2023, Thompson has shared the stage with artists such as Brennan Wedl, Olive Klug, Dean Johnson, Mal Devisa and Amelia Cry Til I Die. Silvie’s demo EP, ‘Grit and Bare It’, was released in April 2024.

TWO WRONG TURNS, (post-grunge, punk) WMa: "Pairing dissonance and distortion with ear-catching melodies and delicate dynamic shifts, Two Wrong Turns is the collaborative project between musicians Ollie Schechter, Cam Quinn, and Charlie Noyes.On their debut album ‘Touch the Star,’ driving rhythms and intricate drumming support intimate, questioning lyrics ranging from visceral rumination to contemplation of our place in history. The songs are built on tension and release, and are decorated with jazzy, lilting ornamentation.
